  • 1 tsp Ground Mustard
  • 2 tbsp Parsley
  • 1 tsp Dill weed

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 cup half and half or almond milk

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients into a Mason Jar with mouth wide enough to fit the head of your immersion blender.
  • Place immersion blender in all the way at the bottom of the jar and starting on medium begin blending, you can put it on high as needed.  You will notice it starting to get opaque and thick, begin moving the blending wand up until everything is fully emulsified, and back down to ensure everything is incorporated.

Notes

An Immersion Blender or "Stick Blender" is required, DO NOT use a regular blender or food processor.
Make this in a Mason Jar or the Jar that comes with your Immersion Blender, using something too wide will not work. The minimal space around the blender head allows the egg and oil to emulsify properly.
Choose a high quality oil, Light Olive Oil or my favorite Avacado oil works great in this recipe. Try to avoid extra virgin olive oil or industrial seed oil.
This uses raw eggs, and while I am not concerned personally. (and, I use chicken eggs from our own chickens collected daily) Using raw eggs in this is personal choice and you can always use pasteurized eggs. Note: there is always a risk of salmonella when using raw eggs.
If for some reason your Mason Jar Ranch is not emulsifying, add another egg, and blend it once again!
If your Ranch is too thick you can add a little extra half & half, Almond milk etc after blending to get to the desired consistency.  I like mine thick of dunking pretzels, veggies and better yet Keto/Low Carb Chicken Strips!
You can replace the dried herbs for fresh herbs, a good handful will do. If you do use fresh herbs, add these at the end after the other ingredients are emulsified. Give it another blend for 10-15 seconds. Adding them at the beginning will result in a "Green" Dressing/Dip.
Store in the refrigerator for up to a week. Do not Freeze as the emulsion will break.
