Basic Keto Chaffles

Versatile enough to use as sandwich bread, pizza crust or base for sausage gravy! Try with butter and your favorite keto approved sugar free syrup on top!

Equipment

  • Waffle Maker

Ingredients

  • 1 lg egg
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese - shredded
  • 1 tbsp almond flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  • Start by whisking your egg
  • To the egg add the remaining ingredients and stir well.
  • Add to waffle maker and cook for 1-4 minutes depending on your waffle maker.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

If you want a crispier waffle, you can hold back some of your cheese (or add more!) Place the cheese on the bottom of the waffle maker and the top of the waffle batter before closing the lid. This will allow for additional crunch.
Do not overfill your waffle maker, start with covering ½ the base, and up to ¾ of the base. This batter spreads a bit while cooking. Overfilling is a sure way to make a mess! Every waffle maker is a bit different so start with ½.
